Today, three of the founder’s children are still involved and partners in the business: Ali Ramlawi, who at 18 came in to honor his father’s legacy. still makes hummus using his father’s recipe and serves as manager and head of operations, Nadyia serves as an assistant manager, and Mustafa focuses on making falafel.
The essential spirit of Jerusalem Garden goes back to a big-hearted immigrant who cared about people – and wanted his family to have something to nourish themselves after he was gone.

Anyone, who visits our place leaves us well fed and in a great mood!
The one thing that’s hard to get from a restaurant nowadays is consistency. It goes without saying that Jerusalem Garden is one of the best restaurants in Ann Arbor. However, what sets it apart for me is that I can always count on the same high-level experience every time I dine in.
Environment feels like a warm hug with plenty of warm lighting, open seating, lively plants, and colorful artwork. The staff were patient, quick, and friendly. The food portions are generous, we had the baba ghanoush, fries, chicken shawarma, and falafel. Delicious like a homecooked meal. Nice plus is the dessert menu has a good amount of options too.
The food is always amazing, beef and chicken shawarma are consistently delicious. Tabouli, hummus… the toum i mean i havent had something I didn’t love and could taste the quality and care. Will always come back here
